Windsurfing art ::: Limited edition poster on watercolor paper
Windsurfer as a Goyter. From one of my artwork printed on 300gr watercolour paper, in a limited edition of 50 copies.
The artist’s word
This is a limited edition on arches paper (watercolour). This series is limited to 50 copies. I still have about fifteen copies left. Each print is numbered and signed by me. We are in the same principle as lithographs* for the limited edition and the quality of the paper.
The original work is a canvas with a format of 92x73cm. The original work is still for sale. It was exhibited at the Grand Marché d’art contemporain in Bastille, Paris.
* Invented by Aloys Senefelder, from 1796 onwards, in Germany, but definitively developed in the early nineteenth century, lithography (from the Greek lithos, “stone” and graph, “write”) is a printing technique that allows the creation and reproduction in multiple copies of a drawing executed in ink or pencil on a limestone.
Although the word “lithography” refers to a technique based on stone, this support was quickly replaced by metal plates (zinc, aluminium: we then speak of zincography or metallography), without radically modifying the technique. A recent application, called kitchen litho, even uses household aluminium and common, non-toxic products for educational purposes, but is used by established artists. Although it is always preferable to specify the technique used, the term “lithography” is still used.
